How JB&CO. is Empowering Financially Weak Women and Transforming their Lives?

Founded in 2021 as a healthy snacking company based in Pune, JB&CO. carries a legacy dating back to 1965 as Navin Pedhi in Pune, Maharashtra. Originating as a wholesaler, JB&Co swiftly transitioned into a direct-to-consumer (D2C) enterprise, driven by a dual mission: redefining snacking norms with healthier alternatives and empowering unskilled, financially disadvantaged workers.

JB&Co’s narrative shifted when they recognized the untapped potential within Indian homemakers. The company set out to skill these women, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the workforce. Presently, JB&Co engages more than 40 housewives in their manufacturing unit, effectively managing production from the comfort of their homes

JB&Co’s commitment goes beyond snack production; it’s a narrative of empowerment, skill development, and the upliftment of marginalized communities. As they continue their growth trajectory, their dedication to transforming lives and reshaping the snacking industry remains steadfast, symbolizing progress and social change

With a product portfolio boasting over 90 items, JB&Co’s entire production process is managed by these skilled and dedicated women. A specialized team is devoted to training and enhancing the productivity of these workers, acknowledging their pivotal role in the company’s success.

JB&Co’s vision extends beyond mere business expansion. Their goal is to empower over 2000 housemaker women by providing comprehensive training and expanded opportunities. Within the next two years, they aim to establish manufacturing units in three different states, creating a significant impact on women’s empowerment and economic self-reliance.
