Ingredients You Need:
For this recipe, we’ll use JB & Co’s finest dry fruits. Here's what you'll need:
-
Almonds (JB & Co Premium Quality) – 1/2 cup
-
Cashews (JB & Co Premium Quality) – 1/2 cup
-
Pistachios (Unsalted) – 1/4 cup
-
Walnuts – 1/4 cup
-
Dates (Seedless, Soft) – 1 cup
-
Figs (Anjeer) – 1/2 cup
-
Raisins – 1/4 cup
-
Desiccated Coconut – 1/4 cup
-
Ghee (Clarified Butter) – 2 tablespoons
-
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
-
Poppy Seeds or Crushed Nuts for Garnishing (optional)
Step-by-Step Preparation:
1. Roast the Nuts
Dry roast almonds, cashews, pistachios, and walnuts in a pan on low flame for 5-7 minutes. Keep stirring to avoid burning. Once roasted, allow them to cool and chop them roughly or pulse them in a blender for a coarse texture.
2. Soften Dates and Figs
If the dates or figs are slightly hard, soak them in warm water for 10-15 minutes. Drain the water and blend them together into a thick paste.
3. Mix It All Together
In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add the date-fig paste and sauté on low flame for 3-4 minutes until it thickens and starts to leave the sides.
4. Add Dry Fruits
Now, mix in the chopped dry fruits, raisins, desiccated coconut, and cardamom powder. Stir everything well until it all comes together. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
5. Shape the Laddus
Grease your palms with a little ghee and start shaping the mixture into small, round laddus. Garnish with poppy seeds or crushed pistachios if desired.
Storage Tips:
Store the laddus in an airtight container. They stay fresh at room temperature for up to a week and can last even longer if refrigerated.
